2.    INFORMATION THE COMPANY COLLECTS

We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.”

Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, certain Website preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks.

Personal Information includes information that is tied directly to you personally and which you submit to us through registering or other interactions with the Website.

We potentially collect the following categories of information from visitors to the Website:

(a)    Anonymous Analytical Information That You Agree to Allow Us to Collect

The pages on this website use the WebIntegrity website analytics software program (“WebIntegrity”).

WebIntegrity is a software tool that tracks your activity only while you are on this site and only if you agree to let it do so. If you consent, it will track your mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and other mouse events. WebIntegrity may also collect and record certain metadata about your session but none of the information that it collects is used to link your activity to you personally (i.e., personally identifiable information) nor does it collect any textual information that is entered on a page. The collected information may be saved on our server for analysis of your visit to the website. It may also be viewed in real time as it is collected. When you leave a WebIntegrity-enabled webpage it will cease to collect information unless you access another page on this website on which WebIntegrity is installed.

The first time you visit this website you will be asked to either “opt-in” or “opt-out” to monitoring by WebIntegrity. If you select “opt-out” or you accept the default choice you will not be monitored. You will need to manually consent (”opt-in”) to allow WebIntegrity to monitor your time on a webpage on which it is installed. Your choice (“op-in” or “opt-out”) will be remembered for 24 hours, during which time if you revisit this site your previous choice will be honored. After 24 hours, the next time you visit this site you will be asked once again if you consent to monitoring.

WebIntegrity does not collect any information on pages where it is not installed, nor does it track or collect any activity of yours that occurs outside of your web browser. The information collected by WebIntegrity is acquired for internal use only to help us improve your user experience and the information that it collects will not be sold or disclosed to others. When you leave this website, WebIntegrity will cease to collect information.

For more information about the data that WebIntegrity collects and how it is used see https://webintegrity.com/about-webintegrity.html.

If you have questions about Webintegrity after reviewing the link above, please contact us by sending email to [email protected] with the email subject “WEBINTEGRITY QUESTION”.

(b)    Information You Provide to Us: Personal Information

We collect and may use various types of “Personal Information”, i.e., any information that you knowingly provide to us, from uses of the Website as explained more fully below. We may use this Personal Information to personalize and improve our services to you, to allow you to set up a user account and profile, to contact you, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, to analyze how you utilize the Website, and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy.

For example, during the registration process, we may collect Personal Information which could include your name, your username, email address, organization, physical address, IP address, and browser information. If you order hardware or services from us we will also collect information necessary for fulfilling your order that might include billing and shipping information such as a credit card number, expiration date, shipping address, authorized user(s), phone numbers, order history, etc. We may also keep a record of your past financial and other transactions with the Company.

We may collect other Personal Information you provide us through your use of our services, such text messages and emails that you send to us, and transcripts of chat logs with our personnel. However, these private notes will not be shared with others unless you choose to allow us to share them.

You can choose not to provide us with certain personal information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some of the Website features.

However, we do not link your Personal Information with any information collected by WebIntegrity, if you agree to allow it to monitor your session. The information collected by WebIntegrity is completely anonymous and maintained separately from other information that we collect from all visitors to the Website.

(c)    Information Collected Automatically: Non-Personal Information, Aggregate Information, and Cookies

WebIntegrity places a persistent cookie on your computer that stores a date and timestamp that records the last time a browser operator encountered the WebIntegrity consent request that asks the visitor to either opt-into or opt-out of tracking. The cookie also contains a record of the operator's choice at that time. The WebIntegrity Transmitter, which is automatically loaded into your browser whenever you visit a web page that utilizes WebIntegrity, checks the cookie timestamp against the current date/time and, if it has been more than 24 hours since the browser operator last encountered the consent request, it will be presented again. On the other hand, if it has been less than 24 hours since the browser operator encountered the consent request, the previous response to the consent request (opt-in or opt-out) will be used again.

If no cookie is present, the consent request will be presented. This might occur because this is the first time the browser has been to the WebIntegrity equipped website. It could also be that the browser operator had been there previously but the browser was configured to reject all cookies.

Note that the term “browser operator” was chosen intentionally since the WebIntegrity approach makes it impossible to tell who gave the response to the consent request. The only information that the cookie gives us is that someone was using the same browser at a different time.

More generally, whether you agree to tracking by WebIntegrity or not, our web servers automatically collect limited information about your computer's connection to the Internet, including your IP address, when you visit our site. Your IP address is a number that lets computers attached to the Internet know where to return your browser's request for data. We use your IP address to deliver our web pages to you upon request, to tailor our site to the interests of our users, to measure traffic within our site and to allow us to understand the distribution of geographic locations of visitors to our website. Your IP address does not identify you to us personally. We do not use any of the limited information we collect about your computer, including its IP address, to attempt to identify you personally.

Whenever you interact with our Website, we automatically receive and record information provided by your browser on our server logs. This information includes your IP address, “cookie” information, and the page you requested.

To improve the responsiveness of the sites for our users, we may use "cookies", or similar electronic tools to assign each visitor a unique User ID in order to better understand the user's individual interests using the Website. Unless you voluntarily identify yourself (through registration, for example), we will have no way of knowing who you are, even if we assign a cookie to your computer. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply. A cookie cannot read data off your hard drive.

“Cookies” are small text files that contain information that might include a unique identification number or value, which are stored on your computer's hard drive as a result of you accessing our Website. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies as soon as you visit our Website. Cookies we transfer to your computer through your browser allow us to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people. You may be able to change the preferences on your browser to prevent or limit your computer's acceptance of cookies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of our Website's best features.

For more information on the cookies we use and how we use them, please refer to our separate Cookie Policy page at www.webintegrity.com/cookiepolicy.html.

The Company may use both persistent and session cookies; persistent cookies remain on your computer after you close your session and until you delete them, while session cookies expire when you close your browser.

When we collect usage information (such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site), we only use this data in aggregate form, and not in a manner that would identify you personally. For example, this aggregate data tells us how often customers use parts of the Website, so that we can make the Website appealing to as many customers as possible.
